Assessors and Assessor Accrediting Organisations

NatHERS Accredited Assessors

NatHERS Accredited Assessors are professionally recognised energy assessors who are qualified in conducting house energy ratings using NatHERS Accredited Software. They follow an Assessor Code of Practice and are provided ongoing support and guidance to ensure they provide high standards of quality and service delivery.

It is recommended that owners and builders use a NatHERS Accredited Assessor when getting a home’s energy rating determined.

Using NatHERS Software

It is important that house energy ratings are undertaken in a reliable and consistent manner. If you are a NatHERS Accredited Assessor and want further information on how to complete an energy rating using the NatHERS Accredited Software for regulatory purposes, see our NatHERS Technical Note.

Using the NatHERS logo and NatHERS Certificate

Only a NatHERS Accredited Assessor can issue NatHERS Certificates. The NatHERS Certificate includes the NatHERS rating, logo and stamp, which assessors can use as evidence of their competence to complete an energy rating when seeking building approval. Only NatHERS Accredited Assessors may use the NatHERS logo in their promotional materials, in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the NatHERS Trade Mark Guidelines.

The NatHERS Trade Mark Guidelines outline conditions of use, eligibility, and approval processes for use of the NatHERS Trade Marks. The NatHERS name, acronym, logo and rating image are registered trade marks under the Australian Trade Mark Register. See the Guidelines document for more information.
