Software accreditation
The Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme allows for competing software products to be accredited, by providing a fair and transparent process for commercial software tools to be assessed.
Software Accreditation Protocol
The test procedure, called the Software Accreditation Protocol, involves a suitably expert person demonstrating and declaring that a particular software produces compatible results across a portfolio of building designs and climate zones.

Use of HERS logo
Accredited tools are eligible to use the HERS logo in a responsible way, and advertise their association with the Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme.
The logo is owned by the Commonwealth of Australia and may be licensed to software developers to promote NatHERS.
Whenever consumers see the HERS logo they can be sure that all reasonable steps have been taken to ensure that the product has been fully tested against the Protocol.
